Stewardship at CTK
My name is Andrew Hansen, and I have been a member of CTK for about six years. I am married to Rachel, a Reading Teacher at CTK. We have three boys who will be five, three, and one all this summer. What I like most about the parish are the people. My wife and I felt most welcomed at CTK when we were looking for a parish six years ago. We are thankful to call CTK home. I am grateful our parish has so many ministries and events for so many people. We are blessed to have such a vibrant community with so much to offer to boost our spiritual lives, social lives, and educational lives.
I am a steward of my time and talent by serving as a Reader at 8:00 a.m. Mass and serving on the Stewardship and Discipleship Committee. We also pray daily as a family, praying the rosary on car trips. We also give electronically to CTK, but still receive the envelope because well, our children love putting the envelope into the basket! It's important to be involved in our faith because God created each of us, uniquely in His image, with specific talents. It's our obligation to help others and serve the Lord with what he has blessed us with. It's of the essence to honor God by giving of our time, talent, and treasure because really, it's not ours, it's God's. He's the one who made us and gave us our gifts.
There are 168 hours in a week. Mass is 1 hour of them. Join me and my family to make it the best hour every week. Fully commit! This helps me in being a good steward of time, talent, and treasure the rest of the week, feeling more fulfilled.
